Sarah over at Caspiana is sharing a Soul Journal on her blog. She has invited others to go along and participate. Each day she has another assignment to do in your journal. Sarah is truly an inspiring and talented artist. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do this...the techniques I'm learning are invaluable. And - it is soooo much fun!
You should check it out at: http://sarahwhitemire.blogspot.com/
Here are some pics from my soul journal (although not nearly as beautiful as hers!). I am pleased with the way some of turned out. I'm not that crazy about my house...it needs some work done (just like my own!)!! But, I love my 'dream' yard.
Leave comments and tell me what ya think I should do with my house...it is sooo boring...?!

Your yard is so peaceful with the soft blues and greens, I just love it. Glad you joined up with us all here with Sarah :)
Do you want shutters on your house? Do you want a defining line on the roof? Or a chimney? Does it need a window in the roof? Sometimes it's just that there are too many choices or you are too close to the subject. Or - you are being hard on yourself. Your house looks cozy to me.
your pages are tunring out great!!!
LOVE the swing in the trees...
LOVE LOVE LOVE all the vintage on your blog!!!!all my favorites too!
what I do to visit everyone involved in the soul journal project is go back to Sarah's blog then click down her list of participants...then i don't miss anyone who has updated their work.

I think your house is fine - love the bright green in the trees, and the feeling of a peaceful summer afternoon in your work. Also liked the background colors of the inchies page - misty and warm all at the same time. Congratulations on your work! Jane
ah is that a weeping willow? love your pages and especially the colors you have used on your neighborhood/ yard pages.
Thank you all for your nice comments and suggestions!! Mistie, you're right, I do need shutters and maybe flower boxes, I don't know...we'll see! And yes, it is a weeping willow...my favorite tree.

I'm so happy that you have jumped in. I love seeing how each of us interprets the assignment and we make it our own. I love your yard too. I didn't like my house at first and set it aside and then went back to it after a couple of days and not I love it. I'm still behind but I'm getting so close! I look forward to seeing more from you!
